“Layers of time” is a series of paintings on mostly square canvases. Each canvas is covered with colour layers according to a mathematical principle. Each colour layer has a height of almost one millimetre and a width of one centimetre. This results in a step-like colour relief, which rises in the end up to several centimetres above the canvas surface. My goal is to create images, which capture a specific period of time. This period is equal to the duration of making of each painting.
